Colonics

Colon hydrotherapy – also known as colonics, colon irrigation, colon therapy, or high enemas – is a process that uses safe, filtered, temperature-controlled water for cleaning of the colon.  The colon is the last 5 feet of the digestive tract. It is made up of muscle structure that moves digested food along using a process called peristaltic action. The colon is also home to good bacteria that produce vitamins such as Vitamin K and some of the B vitamins. It also absorbs water, nutrients, proteins and cell salts back into the blood stream, helping to keep the body functioning at peak performance.

Waste builds up in the colon, and must be eliminated from the body.  If this waste is not eliminated efficiently, the colon can become toxic. Some of the signs of a toxic colon are: coated tongue, bad breath, sallow complexion, abnormal body odor, dark circles under the eyes, cold hands and feet, brittle nails and hair, pot belly, tension, fatigue, allergies, indigestion, chronic headaches, irritability, nervousness, nausea, depression, asthma and backaches.

Colon Hydrotherapy works to soothe and tone the colon so it can eliminate waste more efficiently. This helps reduce the burden on your other organs and on the lymphatic system. Using FDA approved equipment, this self-administered process gently infuses filtered, temperature controlled water into the colon, which fills the colon, allowing impacted toxins and waste to be removed.

Our Colon Hydrotherapist, Kim Lowrey, has advanced certification from I-ACT, the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy, in the use of the colon hydrotherapy equipment and is always available to answer any questions you may have on the process.  She can be reached at 479-571-2656 or 479-263-1436.
