Using Neurological Stress Reduction Therapy to treat allergies

Neurological Stress Reduction Therapy or NSRT provides a novel and unique approach to wellness that is based on proven, accepted science, allowing patients who generally have very few if any treatment options to experience symptomatic relief.

The technology and science are based on four facts:

1.Stress causes or exacerbates most health related conditions.  According to the American Medical Association (AMA), stress is the cause of 80-85 percent of all human illness and disease. Every week, 95 million Americans suffer some kind of stress-related symptom for which they take medication.

2. The brain creates associations between stressful events and substances which are often times inappropriate and subsequently lead to a host of chronic and acute conditions.

3. A general reduction of stress levels can significantly decrease symptoms of many conditions.

4. If these associations can be broken, by introducing a positive stimulus in conjunction with the specific stress inducing substance… symptoms can be reduced or eliminated.

Understanding Neurological Stress Reduction Therapy:

Wellness is impacted by the body’s reaction to substances in the environment and varying levels of physiological stress (not to be confused with anxiety or psychological stress), placed on the nervous system. Each person is unique and therefore every single one of us has the potential to react differently to any given substance. Peanuts, Grass, Pollen, Perfume, Wheat, Lactose, Stinging Insects and Animal Dander are examples.

By Definition, “Allergies are abnormal or inappropriate reactions of the nervous system that occur in response to otherwise harmless substances.” – Alternative Medicine Encyclopedia Many substances, like environmental inhalants or pollutants are obviously going to have a negative impact on health, but often times it is very difficult, if not impossible to identify exactly which pollutant is affecting an individual especially if they are harmless to most people.

When stress or pressure is applied to the nervous system through exposure to specific substances, the nervous system begins to fight or expel the substance from the body. This response is referred to as an Autonomic Nervous System Mediated Response which can be expressed by the body in the form of sinus pressure, skin irritations, headaches, upset stomach or any other manner in which the body can expel the substance it believes is harmful or toxic. The ANS Mediated Response is the trigger for all of these symptoms which when diagnosed as chronic by the medical community become conditions we all know such as allergy, asthma, eczema, ADD, ADHD, migraine, IBS or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

In the instance a normally harmless substance is triggering a symptom it may be even harder to identify because these substances aren’t typically determined to be suspects. The affects of these substances can range from mild or unnoticeable to severe and debilitating. Through the identification or assessment of the specific substances that cause elevated physiological stress levels on the nervous system and subsequent therapy to condition the body to react normally during real world exposure, symptoms can be significantly reduced or eliminated. Eliminate Stress Response = Elimination of Symptom Expression. NSRT identifies what triggers the symptom and eliminates that trigger before the symptom even starts, so this therapy helps identify what causes your symptoms rather than trying to manage the symptom.

Through NSRT, the fight or flight response by the nervous system can be reduced or eliminated. These responses are the triggers for symptoms commonly associated with: • Allergies & Sinus Conditions • Asthma & Respiratory Conditions • Migraines, Headaches & Chronic Fatigue • ADD, ADHD, Autism & Asperger’s Syndrome • Skin Irritations such as Eczema & Rosacea • Indigestion, Constipation & Bloating • IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)
