Knee Rejuvenation Therapy

Could knee rejuvenation therapy help to treat your knee pain?

Chronic knee pain is considered one of the most common ailments amongst adults. It is characterized by chronic pain, swelling, and sensitivity in the affected knee.

Since knee pain is prevalent among adults, many assume it’s not a big deal and treat the symptom of pain using over-the-counter medications. Over time the problem compounds and eventually they seek professional help. If they go to an orthopedic surgeon, they will likely hear, ‘Physical therapy, pills, shots, and once it gets bad enough – Knee Replacement’.

It seems nobody is talking about KEEPING it from getting worse by correcting the knee and the conditions that created the knee problem in the first place. This is where our Knee Rejuvenation Therapy comes in. Why let it get worse? Why wait until you are immobilized and no longer living your life on your terms?

Common Causes of Knee Pain

Sure, knee pain is common as we age, but could your pain be caused by something besides age? Yes!

Chronic knee pain is a common condition that affects men and women alike, and it becomes more common as we age. However, that doesn’t mean that your knee pain isn’t a symptom of something else entirely. In fact, it most likely is.

Some of the most common causes of chronic knee pain include:

  • Meniscus tears
  • Arthritis
  • Bursitis
  • Damaged cartilage
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Previous injuries
  • Tendinitis
  • Torn ligaments

Before we can discuss your knee pain treatment, we need to find out what is causing it. We will start with a thorough physical examination. Depending on the results and upon discussing your health history, it may require x-rays of the knee to see if there is any internal damage.

Once the cause of your pain has been determined, Dr Gibson will discuss treatment options, including knee rejuvenation therapy.

What You Need to Know About Knee Rejuvenation Therapy

When most patients think of chronic knee pain, they either write it off as no big deal or automatically think they require surgery to correct the problem. While surgery isn’t always out of the question, there are other valid treatment options to consider, including knee rejuvenation therapy.

Our Knee Rejuvenation Therapy includes using the Knee on Trac device. This is a static and intermittent traction therapy device that works like a traction table similar to spinal decompression. It gently stretches the knee joint and creates a vacuum that draws fluids and vital nutrients into the joint to help jump-start the healing process. We also utilize a class III B laser for inflammation and pain relief as well as increasing the blood supply to the affected area and increased healing.

Knee pain should never be written off as “no big deal.” If you’re experiencing an increase in pain in one or both of your knees, then you may be an ideal candidate for knee rejuvenation therapy. While this service is not covered by insurance, we do offer discount packages to make it affordable. Call our office at 479-587-0227 to schedule your consultation.
